We had our first swimming trip. She is such a people watcher but she loved the shower after!

Then Grandma Catherine watched her while Mommy and Daddy went and played tennis and had some us time for our 2 year anniversary. She was so tired from not having a real nap all day that she crashed shortly after we picked her up.

I can't believe she is now 8 months old. I have no idea where the time went. When she is feeling better I will take some 8 month pictures and post them. She has an ear infection and possibly strep and that rosiola whatever fever rash thingy. I promise I will get pictures on here soon.

It's official!!!

We have a crawler! I didn't get a good video of her today so I'm going to try and get one tomorrow to post. I can't believe how big she is getting.

Because Nathan had to work on Mother's Day he is taking me out tomorrow and my mom is going to watch Kayana for us. Our plan is to go to Mulligan's golf course and go mini golfing and then hit a bucket of balls. Then maybe we will have to ninja some ice cream out of my mom's freezer :). I'm so excited to have a day that is about me. When we get home he is going to cook dinner for me! I'm going to be spoiled.

I will be using my mother's day gift a lot, I already have been playing with it. Nathan got me a flip video camcorder. It is awesome. If you haven't seen it you should really go google it right now. It is the size of a digital camera and has a USB attached right in it so I can never lose it... Unless I were to lose the camcorder... Let's hope I don't do that.

I have been slacking again but it was finals week and I have one more final then I am done with school this semester!!! Hooray!

On April 26th Kayana said Mama and on the 30th she said Dad. She has been so much fun to have around. I'm so glad to be a mom, it's the most wonderful feeling in the world.

I can't believe that seven months ago today we welcomed Kayana into our family. She is getting so big. She has been rolling and scooting like crazy and the newest development as of yesterday is getting up on her hands and knees and rocking. She will be crawling any day now. How I miss my immobile baby.



Now she is such a wiggle worm.

A post about Nathan

Today as I was feeding Kayana, Nathan came and snuggled with us.

Nathan: "This is a snuggle line. I snuggle Mom, who snuggles Kayana, who snuggles Mom, who snuggles Kayana..."

Me: "This (pointing at me and Kayana) becomes a snuggle circle."

Nathan: (Pouting) "I'm the line on the Q."

I could not stop laughing, I just thought that you all would enjoy that:)



I don't think that you all really believe me that Nathan is a computer program. Here are a couple of examples.

One day I was getting ready for the day and I said, "Babe, can you get my pants off the bed for me?"
He replied, "Sure."
A few minutes passed so I asked, "Honey where are my pants?"
"On the floor."
"I wanted you to bring them to me."
"You told me to get them off the bed."


Last night we were getting ready for bed. Earlier that day one of us changed Kayana's diaper in our room and left the wipes on the bed. I said, "Will you move the wipes please?"
"Yeah."
Later as we were dozing off Nathan moved his feet and I heared crinkling.
"When I said move the wipes I meant for you to move them off the bed."
*Laughing* "I moved them for you though."


I love my wonderful husband. He is so good to me and he can always make me laugh, sometimes without trying to. I am so thankful that I have him.

So I've been slacking

Sorry guys. Kayana is now six months old and rolling around like crazy! She also scoots around on her face. She has her 2 bottom teeth and is getting so big.

I've been in school in the interior design program and it is getting to the end of the term. I love every minute of school and cannot wait to start my career.

Nathan has been working a lot so that I can stay home with Kayana and it has been wonderful to be a stay at home mommy.

Six Months Old

I had already put on her pants then had to get the onesie out of my car. I asked Daddy to put on her onesie. He did just that. I sometimes forget that Daddy is like a computer program, he will do exactly what I tell him.

Oh look Kayana is using Mommy's make-up bag as a pillow. So cute right.

She is eating it. It is one of her favorite toys.

And to finish my entry for today the most joyous sound in the world.

Wow....

I can't believe I haven't posted since we found out it was a girl. Well Kayana joined our family on October 3 via emergency c-section. I was induced on the first because she wasn't using her diaphragm. After 30 hours of labor and 3 hours of pushing we found out that my pelvis is too narrow to have children so we had to have a c-section. She was 7 lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long. Life has never been happier in our home. She brings such joy to all around her.

She is now almost 5 months old and I have no clue where the time went. She is starting to sit up for a very short period of time and starting to roll to things she wants. She loves playing peek-a-boo and patty cake and getting gobbled up.
